These were made for our production by Heather Daveno.
She sat down with us to tell us more about her craft, her travels and her work for charity.

April 2013 – One of my pith helmets made it into the pages of the Steampunk Gazette, a hardbound art book presented by Major Thadeus Tinker.

February 1, 2013 – Featured Artist on the Arts Business Institute blog: “Hat designer Heather Daveno creates a collection which blends her love of travel with artistic inspiration…”

November 10, 2012 – Seattle City Living: Seattle’s ‘Creative Class’ on Display at Upcoming Show: “A self-taught artist who lives in the Northgate area, Daveno testifies that her best teacher is trial and error..”

Spring 2011 – 1000 Steampunk Creations by Dr. Grymm – a few of my hats are featured in the fashion section.

March 27, 2011 – Seattle Times: Arts-and-crafts festival this weekend drew thousands (a photo of me teaching a class there)

February/March 2007 – No text, but a photo of one of my hats, full page in Quilting Arts Magazine. I would never have known about it if a friend in Portland hadn’t sent me a copy.

November 2006 – I was chosen as one of the featured artists for an advert in Seattle Magazine, promoting the Best of the Northwest Arts & Crafts Show. Paul Allen was on the cover of this edition:

December 2003 – Featured in The News-Times as a participating artist in the Holiday Exhibition and Craft Sale at Brookfield Craft Center in Brookfield CT. See the article below:
